The Maternity Experience
A maternity session is a great way to slow down -- breathe, sing to your baby while holding your belly. Feel those kicks -- and celebrate each milestone and challenge you have overcome.
Let me help you pre-plan every detail -- whether the session is outdoors at at my studio. I will guide you through every moment -- from how to pose to providing prompts to evoke genuine emotions. If you plan on bringing your immediate family members to your maternity session, you can expect your family's connections to be captured in a way that is meaningful for you!

Congratulations on expecting a child! I would love to chat about your vision of your maternity session. I include the use of maternity dresses in my client closet and offer a complimentary styling consult after the contract is signed.
I will help you decide the location of your maternity photography session. My maternity sessions start at $500+GST. Additional travel charges could incur beyond 90 minutes of travel one-way.
1. Say Hello
The best time to schedule your maternity session is between 28 to 34 weeks though I do recommend 32 weeks latest for best comfort.
Your bump might show earlier with consecutive pregnancies. I do maternity boudoir sessions upon request. Do reach out if a glamour maternity session is more your vibe!
2. Schedule it
It is very easy to plan it: indoors or outdoors? Indoors is most likely at my studio on 112 Ave and 149 Street in Edmonton, Alberta.
For outdoors, I have a list of preferred locations, depending on what your vision is. I can help you plan a cohesive colour palette for your maternity photographs. Some colours are meaningful for you -- if you have any special requests, please include that with your inquiry in the contact form!
3. Planning it
Maternity sessions are not "mini-sessions". They are fully customizable sessions. Do dedicate at least half an hour to 45 minutes for your session. You are welcome to take as many breaks as you need!
If you have younger kids, do prep them ahead of time -- my sessions are as bribe-free as possible as we want siblings to be interactive during your maternity session.

4. Your Session
Your photographs are meant to be hung on your walls or be the centre-piece of your coffee table as an heirloom album. When you pre-book a maternity & newborn session together, I provide artwork incentives to help you preserve your memories in artwork form.
I will walk you through the process as choosing the photographs is a guided process --not a sending of the gallery and dash. You can have confidence in choosing the best photographs as the final images.
